What are you going to do?
As a business developer, you are responsible for increasing and maintaining Demcon’s market share. You identify potential customers, put Demcon on their map as a technology supplier and use your network and entrepreneurship to create openings that showcase Demcon’s added value. With existing customers, you are responsible for maintaining the, often long-term, relationship with them.
After you have made the first contact with a potential client, you stay involved in the content of the project until the quotation has been finalised, after which you stay involved to maintain and strengthen the relationship with the client. Working closely with the project manager and system engineers, you know how to convert the client’s broad, often incomplete, request into a complete project proposal, including phase transitions and risk management. You are able to form a good opinion of the technical issues in order to get to the heart of the problem. In doing so, you know how to link the client’s needs to the services DEMCON has to offer.
