Big Data Engineer

BIG DATA ENGINEER

What will you do?

• Design, develop, maintain and optimize scalable big data pipelines to process large amounts of data, ensuring low latency and high availability.
• Implement and manage data storage solutions.
• Ensure data availability and consistency.
• Implement data processing frameworks to process and analyze large datasets in real time or batch mode.
• Transform raw data into clean, usable formats that can be analyzed by Data Scientists and Analysts.
• Create database architectures that support high-throughput fault-tolerant data processing using NoSQL.
• Ensure that big data systems comply with data security policies, and that data privacy and regulatory compliance is managed across data storage, processing and sharing.
• Collaborate with (third-party) DevOps teams to automate deployment, scaling, and management of data solutions.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

   

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Big Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role.
• Strong expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Kafka, etc.
• Proficient in Python, and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and written.

• Residency in or nearby Eindhoven.

About Senergetics

Established in March 2022 by Anitha and Frank Jacobs, Senergetics is on a mission to revolutionize industrial practices, prioritizing asset health management for safety, sustainability, and efficiency. Inspired by sensing technology, we're tackling energy spillage and corrosion under insulation (CUI) in the process industry.

October 2023 marked a significant milestone with seed funding from DeepTechXL, empowering us to expand operations and drive further advancements.
