One such machine is estimated to emit on average 30,000 kg of CO2 per year which equals yearly emissions of 30 modern passenger cars (Dutch average). About the job

Unitial’s platform "Fleet Energy Services" helps construction companies plan and run construction sites. The transition to zero emission construction brings new challenges, such as organizing sufficient electricity to charge your machine. We are collecting data from our own logging devices, third party machine APIs, and publicly available info. From here, the data is processed and fed through our algorithms to provide the customer with high quality information. We are looking for a talented and passionate back-end developer that can help us develop these big data systems. As a back-end developer at Unitial Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing tooling and platforms for the construction industry.

Job requirements

You have an EU citizenship.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
Strong proficiency in back-end technologies like Django and Node.js.
Understanding of database operations and efficient querying.
Experience with building cloud based back-ends that handle large amounts of data and users.
Bonus points for having mathematical and analytical skills.
Bonus points for having experience with front end development.
Bonus points for having CI/CD experience.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English). You can explain in a structured manner how you have done something or what needs to happen next.
Critical thinking and self-starting capabilities, capable of working independently and taking initiative.
Passion for sustainability and innovation.
A flexible mindset and are willing to tackle tasks beyond the back-end.
