Maintenance Engineer

Role

The maintenance engineer initiates and leads development, sustaining and continuous improvement in the area of process systems and equipment with the purpose to deliver the best availability and quality of the appointed systems.

 Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership of the process equipment; including uptime and quality. Review and analyse the performance. Initiate, design and execute improvements and upgrades. Contribute (as member) to capability- and cluster teams.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing  approaches for systematic monitoring of equipment with the purpose of timely planning and executing preventive maintenance.
  • Uses appropriate  methods and tools for engineering and repair activities.
  • Initiates and plans Preventive Maintenance actions (PM), develops the maintenance plans, communicates to 'owners', plans the evaluations on PM, tracks modifications in the PM plans.
  • Responsible for formal release for use of equipment following (preventive) maintenance.
  • Responsible for improvement of methods and tools, including benchmarking with relevant external stakeholders.
  • Executes repair & maintenance (R&M) on a wide range of high tech systems and equipment with root cause analysis (RCA) & Trend Analysis (TA).
  • Is project owner for small modifications on existing tools.
  • Writes the technical specifications (including the ESH issues) for new systems and equipment or modifications. Designs and executes the technical acceptance test. Determines the spare part policy as result of a risk analysis. Evaluate and select suppliers.
  • Determines ESH solutions on equipment-issues after a risk analysis, complies with the ESH policy, rules and regulations. Enforces compliance.
  • Designs the disposal protocol (with the ESH issues) on redundant systems and equipment. 
  • Develops and maintains a high level, in depth knowledge of a wide range of systems, equipment and processes. Contribute (as member) to capability- and cluster teams. Knows the players and products in the field of high tech process systems and equipment.
  • Coaches Engineers & Technicians on a day-to-day base as member of the maintenance team.
  • Pro-actively communicates with all stakeholders, including clients,  suppliers, senior management, professional network and colleagues

You take responsibility and leadership to drive and implement improvements to increase the uptime. You have also strong analytical skills and possess excellent problem-solving abilities, both on a technical level and in collaboration with others.

Qualifications

  • A Master or Bachelor degree in the area of electronics or mechanics.
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of complex systems.
  • Experience in working together in teams in technological area.
  • Knowledge of PLC. Electronics and problem solving technics.
