In the High Tech Campus Back to Business series you will discover the latest business innovations, get inspiration and meet new people. In the new edition of Back to Business we are collaborating with the Workplace Vitality Hub.

During this interactive seminar, we examine the role of technology in stimulating and facilitating an active and vital office environment. We also discuss how you can bring more vitality into your office through for example 'weetings' (fusion of walking & meeting). And while we try that out in practice, you will discover more about the new innovation hub on Campus: The Workplace Vitality Hub. We will close the event there with drinks and networking. In short: you don't want to miss this.

In the past decades our lives have changed more rapidly than ever. New technologies have played a major role, but have also had a negative impact on our vitality at work: our physical inactivity has increased and we still suffer from stress more often. However, these (digital) technologies can also be applied to enhance the vitality in our working life and environment in a smart, personalised manner.

To boost the vitality of working people in a positive way, partners Fontys, imec, TNO, TU/e, HTCE and Twice have founded the Workplace Vitality Hub. Home of the hub is High Tech Campus 85, a smart office in which the founding partners – together with business partners – combine their extensive knowledge and experience to create real, innovative and efficient solutions for a more vital working environment.

16.25 Keynote: Walk Your Meeting by Martine de Vaan

We will dive into how to bring more vitality into your office by conducting weetings. Weeting brings you outside for productive and energetic meetings. Weeting is a fusion of walking & meeting. Weeting works with guiding routes with landmarks along the way. You know exactly how long a route takes and where you can shorten it if necessary. Martine developed the weeting concept with seven basic types of meetings. This talk provides practical tips about holding meetings while walking. What types of meetings are suitable, what do you need to consider? What are the most important do's & don'ts?

Martine de Vaan is founder of Weeting and author of Walk Your Meeting- the first book on walking meetings, currently available in dutch With the concept weeting. She wants to make walking meetings a normal part of the working day. Martine is innovation manager of the Dutch National Government Real Estate Agency (RVB). Martine has been proving for more than six years that healthier behavior is possible without making sacrifices, by walking 7 km per day by integrating walking into meetings, commuting, and coffee dates with friends and family. Martine studied environmental health in Wageningen and did the MBA public at Nyenrode. As part of a graduation research public private, she investigated what builders, architects, facility managers and employers can do to make this possible.
