Senior Metrology Engineer

As part of SMART Photonics process engineering team, we are seeking an experienced Metrology engineer.

The metrology cluster within Smart Photonics is responsible for 15+ measurement and inspection systems, among which are Stylus-Profilers, Thin Film measurement systems, (CD-)SEM and microscopes. The amount of measurement and inspection systems is expected to grow as well as it’s automation.

Responsibilities:

Develop, execute, and maintain a solid defectivity strategy on final inspection.
Furter utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) for automated defect detection and analysis. (Python scripting)
Train and broaden the overall company’s knowledge on defectivity engineering.
Define and build a defect class library via categorizing and documenting various types of defects to facilitate efficient and consistent assessments and reporting.
As senior engineer you also participate in cross sectorial meetings, as well as drive your own projects. You can lead, influence, and get things done.

Qualifications:

Master or Ph.D. degree in a relevant technical field (photonics, electronics, Physics, data science)
Experienced as a (senior) metrology engineer in a semiconductor environment or foundry.
In-depth knowledge of InP semiconductor technology and its ecosystem.
Python scripting preferred, MATLAB as alternative.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex challenges.
Drive to work in a changing and challenging environment, in this role we need some-one who manages the own workload and takes initiative.
