Wild break – April 2026
Just like a mini safari around your office, you set out discovering nature and wildlife during your lunch break.
The High Tech Campus is not just the smartest square kilometer in Europe. It is also a vibrant, living landscape, a green ecosystem where birds, insects, plants and small animals quietly thrive alongside cutting edge innovation. Even in highly urbanized environments, these wild elements play an important role in both biodiversity and human well being.

During this Wild Break, Nuno Curado, an enthusiastic urban wildlife ecologist, will guide you on a short discovery tour. Together, you will explore the hidden nature of the Campus and learn to recognize the wildlife that lives here, often unnoticed in plain sight.
Taking time to step outside and engage with nature, even briefly, has proven benefits. Studies show that spending as little as ten to fifteen minutes in a green environment can already improve focus, reduce stress and boost overall well being. Experiencing more natural and less controlled environments can strengthen these effects even further, helping people feel more relaxed, connected and mentally recharged.
Wild Break is therefore more than just a walk. It is an opportunity to disconnect from your screen and daily tasks, recharge mentally and physically, improve focus and creativity for the rest of your day and experience the Campus from a completely different perspective.
No special equipment or clothing is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to slow down and observe.
Meet us at 12:00 sharp at the Food Lab, the food trucks next to the lake.
There are limited places, with twenty people per Wild Break, so make sure to register soon if you would like to spend your Tuesday lunch break reconnecting with nature.
Participation is free.
