Purpose of your role The Global Business Line Manager X-Ray is responsible for defining and realizing short- and long-term business ambitions and revenue growth for the X-ray Business Line. The role combines product strategy, business development, key account management, and Profit & Loss responsibility. You will work closely with Research & Development, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive innovation, develop new products, and grow the global X-ray business.

Result areas of the Global Business Line Manager
Business Line strategy and product management
The Global Business Line Manager is responsible for defining and executing the Business Line strategy and product roadmap.
Key activities:
- Identifying new applications and requirements within the assigned market segment(s)
- Building the long-term product roadmap and strategy for the Business Line
- Managing products in line with the defined strategy
- Creating technology innovation and product roadmap together with Research & Development
- Monitoring the product life cycle and designing solutions for potential problems
- Preparing customer requirements documents for new products
- Designing business cases for new products and product developments
- Building a strong market position based on sustainable competitive advantages
- Keeping marketing, product, and application knowledge up to date
Market development and strategic customers
The Global Business Line Manager develops and supports the customer base and builds strong relationships with strategic customers, OEMs, and research institutes.
Key activities:
- Building strong relationships with strategic customers to understand long-term market trends, emerging applications, and customer needs
- Creating alliances with clinical and research institutes to drive innovation
- Analyzing competitor market position, strategy, product portfolio, and roadmap
- Analyzing internal strengths and weaknesses, and external opportunities and threats
- Educating and supporting the Sales and Customer Support team
- Driving and supporting Sales Managers during the sales process and acquisition of new customer-specific development projects
- Developing new customer base in the assigned segment(s)
Financial performance and business planning
The Global Business Line Manager is responsible for forecasting, revenue planning, and Profit & Loss for the Business Line.
Key activities:
- Preparing input for short-term and medium-term revenue planning
- Providing detailed forecasts for the Business Line accounts
- Reporting regularly to the Management Team on opportunities and bottlenecks
- Managing and monitoring customer-specific development projects until completion
- Negotiating, drafting, and arranging corporate approval of development and supply agreements
- Identifying opportunities to reduce cost and increase margins through redesigns, operational excellence, and new manufacturing technologies
- Managing the Profit & Loss for the assigned Business Line
Job Requirements
- Five to ten years of experience in Technology and/or Product Sales, preferably in X-ray or medical imaging
- Combination of a technical background and strong commercial skills
- Bachelor or Master degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25%)
- Basic understanding of applicable regulatory guidelines such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
