Clinical Scientist (0.8-1 FTE)
Plasmacure is a fast-growing MedTech start-up focused on the treatment of chronic wounds. Our vision is: “A world where people no longer suffer from chronic wounds.”We focus on the treatment of complex wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers, which not only have a huge impact on patients’ lives and their surroundings but also place significant pressure on the healthcare system.
Our patented technology, PLASOMA, uses ‘cold plasma’ to accelerate the wound healing process. This technology has been fully tested and is approved for commercial use. Plasmacure has been granted the status of “Promising Healthcare” and is ready to further roll out PLASOMA both in the Netherlands and internationally, through partnerships with healthcare institutions and insurers.
Job Description
As Clinical Scientist, you play a pivotal role at the intersection of research, product development, regulatory compliance, and clinical validation. In a start-up, many roles are filled by few people, which makes the work very diverse. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of our journey.
Location: Eindhoven.
Key Responsibilities
Together with the clinical team, you will be responsible for:
· Clinical data:
o Developing plans and other documentation for clinical studies and pilots
o Analyzing and reporting clinical data
o Supporting partners to obtain clinical evidence for market access, reimbursement and commercial success
· Post-market surveillance:
o Executing post-market clinical follow-up plans
o Writing clinical evaluation plans and reports
o Writing periodic safety update reports
· Performing literature research and keeping team up to date on relevant literature
· Contributing to product and marketing documentation for different audiences (e.g. healthcare professionals and patients)
Requirements
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a (bio)medical discipline
· Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
· Strong ability to critically assess clinical literature and data
· Basic knowledge of biostatistics
· Conscientious and structured way of working
· Proactive and flexible attitude with a hands-on mentality
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English; open and clear communicator
· Plusses:
o Experience with medical devices
o Experience with medical scientific writing
o Knowledge of GCP, relevant EU guidelines and regulations
o Proficiency with advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting
