The Ministry of Defense protects what we hold dear and is committed to peace and security every day. To fulfill this duty, Materiel and IT Command, a part of Defense, procures materiel and IT to provide our military with the best gear available. But sometimes procurement doesn’t go far enough. Defense needs to innovate – technologically, socially and process-wise – to always be and remain the best. Second place is not an option for Defense and our military.

Innovation center MIND (Military Innovation by Doing) recently opened an office at the High Tech Campus. From this location, called MINDbase (HTC27), we scout relevant innovations for the Armed Forces. We do this for all Defense units, including the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marechaussee. We like to engage with all companies, including startups, knowledge and educational institutions, working on innovations and finding ways to work together toward a stronger Armed Forces. When there is a relevant innovation, we pick up the pace.
