Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC) is at the forefront of advancing regenerative medicine technologies by providing top-tier facilities for the industrialization of pioneering biomaterials and biodegradable implants.

SBMC is currently establishing a state-of-the-art pilot production facility located on the High Tech Campus, fueled by the growth fund program RegMed XB.

This cutting-edge pilot factory, situated in HTC 11, is slated to commence operations in early 2025. Until then, clients are invited to utilize SBMC's development facility housed within the Eindhoven University of Technology campus.

At it’s development facilities SBMC fosters a collaborative environment where various stakeholders join forces to enhance the production and assembly of biomaterials, which includes the crafting of hydrogels. These collaborative efforts extend to functional testing and the thorough assessment and prediction of implant performance. At it’s pilot factory at HTC Smart BioMaterials Consortium will be addressing the challenges of scaling up for clinical production.
