As a live use case, Berend and Kay present the Flexible aUtomated Future FactorY: a LEGO-built assembly line that they have fully simulated using their product, brought to life through an interactive presentation.

About the speakers
Berend Steenhuisen
Berend has an MSc in Applied Mathematics and almost a decade of experience in simulations and digital twins. He analyses production facilities and uses data-driven solutions to help companies produce more efficiently.
Kay Peeters
Kay obtained his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology, specialising in modelling and optimising complex manufacturing environments. Five years ago, he joined Nobleo Manufacturing, where he has developed a variety of simulation models and algorithms for a wide range of production settings. He is passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice.
