During this workshop theory, practical examples, and assignments will be discussed.

What is covered: 

• Determine whether 3rd party patents require you to take action;
• How novelty and inventive step are examined;
• What you can do yourself and what it is better to leave to specialists;
• Gain insight into costs and patent procedures;
• How to provide patent attorneys and other patent specialists with the correct information.

To be a fully-fledged discussion partner for patent attorneys or other patent specialists, you need a good understanding of the patent system: the requirements of a patent application, the costs, but also a reasonable assessment of whether you need to take action in the event of a possible infringement by yourself or others.
