What do we do?

Chromodynamics develops next-generation microscopes that enable breakthrough discoveries in the search for a cure for cancer. Our unique technology greatly improves the speed, efficiency, and cost of drug development. Early on, we have been recognised as one of the most exciting startups in Eindhoven. We are scaling up our team to accelerate product development.

What does the position entail?

You are responsible for all aspects of the user interface of Chromodynamics’ groundbreaking, fully automated, hyperspectral microscope. This includes:

• Development of a modern graphical environment that exposes all the microscope’s functionality, e.g. starting measurements, checking the instrument status, viewing and managing saved results, etc. 
• Integration of other services (block storage, data visualisation, …).
• Definition of a RESTful API for querying and triggering all this functionality.
• Implementation of the API in the backend, routing, profile management and linking with databases.

You will be working in a small and talented team where everyone has their area of critical technical expertise. This means significant freedom and responsibility in the build-up of the software stack and system topology. Your design choices will have a lasting impact on the development path and, ultimately, the success of our product. You will play a pivotal role in turning our company into a major player in a global, rapidly growing multi-billion-dollar market.

What do we expect from you?

You excel when you are faced with a challenge. You are ambitious, resourceful, creative, focused, goal-oriented, and easy to work with. You you don’t mind occasionally picking up other tasks if the situation calls for it. We are looking for someone that

• has a solid overview of the (web-) UI software development landscape,
• has experience with developing modern and maintainable graphical applications,
• can translate customer needs and has feeling for intuitive user-centric graphical interface design,
• has experience with defining data models and interacting with and setting up databases,
• knows how to define safe, logical and extendable APIs,
• has an EU Work Visa, EU Citizenship, or the right to work within the EU.
