This vacancy offers the perfect opportunity to become part of the Campus Site Management team, the team that owns and manages the entire Campus!

What are we looking for?

Within the Campus Site Management team (about 40 colleagues), pride prevails on the Campus. Proud of the residents of the Campus who come up with the most beautiful new technologies, proud of the beautiful and pleasant working environment we offer these residents and proud of the high-end research facilities we offer to facilitate these researchers. The operations team on the Campus has the task of keeping these facilities in top condition and providing the right service to the Campus residents. Within this team, we are looking for a Facility Manager for the soft services who enthusiastically and pragmatically takes care of our Campus. We offer a large number of services to our Campus residents and look for a spider in the web between our residents and service organizations that provide the services.

What will you contribute?

As a Facility Manager Soft Services, you ensure that the Campus residents are completely unburdened in terms of facilities so that they can focus on their research into microchips/semiconductors, new sustainable solutions and medical devices, among other things. You do this together with the Manager Management and Maintenance, who is in charge of the technical aspects of facility management. Your focus in the team is on:

  • All non-technical facility services, including reception services, security, cleaning, coffee, emergency response, mail, logistics and waste collection. You are the contract manager and have a positive and critical attitude towards the service providers who provide these services.
  • You lead the Campus Service Desk team. A large site with about 60 buildings and many users ensures that there is a continuous flow of adjustments, service requests, new residents coming to the campus, things that need maintenance, events, malfunctions, improvements that are desirable, etc. On the Campus, we recently started setting up the Campus Service Desk, which has a crucial function in this. Here, residents and visitors are welcomed in a friendly and customer-oriented manner and from here the service providers are directed to quickly help the residents further.

Your background

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in facility services, preferably in a hospitality industry
  • Experience in managing your own team
  • Driven and pragmatic work attitude
  • Communicative skills in the Dutch and English language
  • Work location: High Tech Campus Eindhoven

The position

This position has become vacant due to the retirement of a colleague and on the other hand due to the establishment of the new Campus Service Desk. In this position, you will report to our Director of Operations. Within the operations team, you have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Keeping in close contact with the Campus residents about facility services, looking for personal contact and an "I'll cycle by" mentality. 
  • Leading and further building the Campus Service Desk (3 4 employees) that started in January. 
  • Budgeting and efficiently managing the costs of soft services. 
  • Maintaining supplier relationships with third-party service providers, including contract management, negotiating terms, and controlling the delivery of services. 
  • Monitoring the quality of the soft services and ensuring that the agreed standards are met. 
  • Continuously improving and innovating services by developing, implementing and periodically evaluating processes and procedures. 
  • Reassessing suppliers through tendering processes in collaboration with the purchasing organization, in order to always select the most suitable partner.  
  • Reporting KPIs and other relevant data to management
