Graduate Intern

Deep-tech venture inPhocal is developing a new laser marking technology for industrial production lines. The inPhocal technology is the only of its kind in the world. It is based on a revolutionary laser beam that has a very long focus depth, which allows laser processing applications that were previously not possible.

Experimental (work will be done at our lab in Waddinxveen (near Gouda) 

• Developing an (optical) auto-align system that will keep our optical system carefully aligned to the laser during operation. 

• Constructing and testing a lab system that can align and characterize our new optical module. 

• Be the first to test new applications with our UV and CO2 laser beams.

‍Simulations 

• Developing a platform for optical simulations that design our unique optics. ‍

Simulations and experimental 

• Perform simulations and verify them experimentally on the laser processing characteristics of our long focus depth laser beam. 

Who we are looking for: 

• An internship or graduation student. 

• Knowledge of the basics of physics and willingness to learn beyond that. 

• Good communication skills. 

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team. 

• Being interested in working at a fast moving startup with high ambitions.
