Salvia BioElectronics is a medical device company pioneering neuromodulation therapies for migraine. Salvia's unique, paper-thin implant is designed to reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks by delivering gentle electrical pulses to the nerves associated with the condition. The company is currently in the clinical stage of development. In addition, Salvia is considering potential opportunities the device creates for the treatment of cluster headache and other neurological disorders. Salvia has received the Breakthrough Device Designation from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which facilitates expedited market access for devices that treat life-threatening or irreversibly debilitating conditions.   

THE CHALLENGE 

Are you interested in taking ownership of the quality and availability of production and R&D equipment by maintaining, calibrating, developing and qualifying equipment and tooling within a highly innovative medical device environment? If so, we offer a challenging position for an accurate and disciplined Equipment Engineer. You will join Salvia’s operations team where your key responsibility is to develop and maintain production and verification equipment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Operate as the first-line support in case of equipment or tooling malfunctioning. 
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment inside and outside our cleanroom. 
  • Assure that production and verification equipment meet all quality and performance requirements and is available as requested. 
  • Documentation as such should be available, actual, accurate and complete 
  • (Co-)Develop and / or improve production and verification equipment (in-house or externally) in close collaboration with the development and the quality team. 
  • Validate equipment according to requirements / quality system (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) including documentation. 
  • Support and propose new equipment initiatives, vendor selection etc. 

YOUR PROFILE 

  • Higher Education (BSc degree) in electrical or mechanical engineering with some years of experience in equipment qualification and maintenance 
  • Accurate and disciplined, with an eye for detail, quality oriented 
  • Team player with excellent technical skills 
  • Affinity with cleanroom production 
  • Hands-on mentality, flexible 
  • English
