The SMART Photonics team is recruiting a Product Manager.
As Product Manager at SMART Photonics, you are the interface between our Customers, SMART’s R&D- and Engineering teams as well as other industrial partners. Your job is to understand our customers’ application and market’s needs as well as their product roadmaps.
You identify broader market trends and directions to drive SMART’s technology roadmap. You closely collaborate with partners (e.g. technology and EPDA software vendors) all this to eventually secure the complete offering towards our customers. This will require distilling all customer application- and market needs to functional requirements, technology choices and internal prioritization of developments between the R&D and engineering teams all leading to defining the product strategy.
As the biggest drivers are the telecom- and datacom markets you are ready to engage with customers in this application space, as well as customer in the field of Lidar for automotive or structural health monitoring and biomedical applications.
Thorough understanding of photonic integration technologies and semiconductor technologies, system level knowledge (e.g. understanding of coherent/IMDD optical communication systems), is a must for this position. You can pinpoint the key technology demands that need to be met, understanding of the pure-foundry model and the PDK offering.
