About the job

We are looking for a talented and passionate senior powertrain engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing and developing electric machines for the construction industry. We seek a critical thinker and self-starter with experience in automotive or mechatronics to help us develop new machines. You will work on the whole engineering phase: from component selection and package planning to CAN controller programming. Besides that, you would provide input to our analysis team to improve our data-driven approach to powertrain modelling and development.

Job requirements

  • You have an EU citizenship.
  • Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Automotive or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with electric powertrain development.
  • Experience with electrical vehicles or machines and corresponding standards and norms.
  • Experience with controller programming (e.g. IQAN, CODESYS or similar).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Bonus point for familiarity with CAD software for modeling and drawing.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English). You can explain in a structured manner how you have done something or what needs to happen next.
  • Critical thinking and self-starting capabilities, capable of working independently and taking initiative.
  • Passion for sustainability and innovation.
