We are at the forefront of innovation in Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. We're on an exciting journey to bring our cutting-edge solutions from prototype to market, and we're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager Machine Development to lead the change.

 

Role
As a visionary Project Manager, you will lead our product development projects, driving the successful development into commercially viable products.

You oversee the initiatives needed for the transition from prototype to engineering scale. You expertly apply effective methodologies, steering the development of our high-tech machinery by rapid prototyping and fast iteration through seamless collaboration within diverse cross-functional teams. Ensuring the successful completion of projects according to predefined criteria, encompassing schedule, budget, resources, scope, and quality, is at the heart of your role. In addition to your project oversight, you carry the responsibility of fostering content, and satisfied clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders. You embrace a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring results are achieved and deliveries are made on time. 


Responsibilities

  • Initiate project definition and develop a comprehensive baseline plan for execution.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead and monitor project execution, making decisions to keep progress on track.
  • Manage project finances, scope, and milestones to meet predefined criteria.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, addressing issues as they arise.
  • Assign roles, allocate resources, and coordinate efforts across teams for project success.
  • Facilitate clear communication among team members, stakeholders, and relevant parties.
  • Lead and motivate the project team, fostering collaboration and commitment.
  • Select, onboard, and manage relationships with external suppliers and partners.
  • Oversee all aspects of project administration, documentation, and handover of results.

Job requirements

You are someone who demonstrates a strong work ethic and dedication to achieving Carbyon's objectives. Additionally, you demonstrate proven problem-solving and organizational abilities, and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You actively engage in the development and application of project management best practices.

 

Our ideal candidate is someone who: 

  • Has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, management, or engineering.
  • Gained at least 10 years experience in high-tech equipment development. 
  • Has at least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in such an environment. 
  • Holds a background in multidisciplinary teams, preferably in a fast-paced international setting.
  • Shows deep understanding of PM principles, methodologies (iterative/agile, sequential/waterfall), and techniques.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Is fluent in English, both spoken and written, to thrive in an international environment.
  • Thrives in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Enthusiastically embraces our startup's mission and values, energized to contribute to our innovative and impactful journey.
  • Lives within commuting distance from Eindhoven or is open to relocating - because that’s where our magic happens.
