Working at High Tech Campus means being part of one of the most innovative environments in the region. At the same time, many participants from social organisations rarely get the chance to visit the campus or see what happens behind the scenes.

During the first High Tech Campus Volunteering Day on Thursday, September 3, we bring those worlds together.

Together with colleagues, you’ll take part in a volunteer activity for people from the local community — from walking across the campus with elderly residents to hosting activities or giving a behind-the-scenes tour of your company.

It’s an opportunity to meet new people, hear different stories, and spend an afternoon doing something outside your usual work routine.
The programme takes place from 13:00 to 16:30, followed by an informal networking drink on campus.

examples of activities:

1. The High Tech Campus Wheelchair Race

Team up with a resident from a local care organisation and take part in the High Tech Campus Wheelchair Race. Together, you’ll complete a fun and accessible course across the campus grounds. The activity is centred around teamwork, interaction and creating an enjoyable shared experience, with plenty of opportunity to get to know one another along the way.

2. Discover the High Tech Campus

Join participants from local social organisations for a walk across the campus and explore the different cafés and meeting spaces on the Strip. Along the way, there is plenty of time for conversation and connection. For many participants, visiting the campus and seeing where people work is a unique experience in itself.

3. Behind the Scenes at Your Company

Open your doors and give participants a glimpse into your organisation. This could include a short tour through your workspace, warehouse or experience lab, or a demonstration of the technology your company works with. A simple and engaging way to share what happens behind the scenes on the High Tech Campus.
