Platform & DevOps Engineer
As Platform & DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in scaling Ocuma from approximately 15 pilot installations today to more than 100 reliable and secure customer deployments across Europe. Working within a small, highly motivated team, you will take ownership of the platform and operational foundation that powers our AI platform. Your work will span the entire stack - from edge devices and camera networks deployed at customer sites to loud infrastructure, deployment automation, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building systems that are reliable, scalable, and secure.

What you’ll do
• Own platform reliability across edge, network, and cloud environments.
• Implement system health monitoring, alerting, and operational analytics.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents across edge, network, and cloud layers.
• Automate deployment, configuration management, and software updates.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for edge software, cloud services, and AI applications.
• Improve testing, release management, rollback procedures, and deployment confidence.
• Coordinate versioned releases across edge devices and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage software and AI model compatibility across the fleet.
• Strengthen security through VPNs, access control, secrets management, patching, and system hardening.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that support rapid growth and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
You have hands-on experience with several of the following:
• Linux systems administration
• AWS cloud infrastructure
• Python-based services
• Networking, including routing, VPNs, firewalls, and VLANs
• CI/CD pipelines and release automation (preferably GitLab)
• Docker and containerized applications
• Monitoring, logging, and observability
• Troubleshooting distributed production systems
Nice to Have
Experience with any of the following is a strong advantage:
• Edge / IoT deployments
• Raspberry Pi
• Video streaming technologies (RTSP)
• Network video recording systems (Synology)
• Hardware-level debugging and diagnostics
• AI inference hardware (PCIe accelerators)
• Operating and scaling AI production environments
