Role

As Application Engineer you will become an Impulse Printing™ expert. Besides process and application development, you will work closely together with the engineering team to continuously improve the performance and user experience of our industrial printers. All of your knowledge and experience are required to independently work with customers to find solutions for their applications. Estimated: 50% application/process development, 30% customer related projects, 20% engineering support and improvement of user experience.

Responsibilities

• Define baseline process flow for Impulse Printing.
• Lead technical discussions with customers to understand their requirements.
• Translate customer & application requirements into industrial solutions.
• Develop technical know-how for strategic application fields and develop tools for successful application/product combinations.
• Establish and maintain strong connections with internal product development and customer-facing teams.
• Support product roadmap with detailed feedback on existing technology gaps and future application opportunities.
• Lead customer projects from start to finish.
• Install printers and give training to customers worldwide.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience.
• Support all business development efforts.
• Assess and initiate Intellectual Property opportunities with respect to application development.
• Travel up to 20% of time.

About you

You are a team player who is highly result oriented and gets excited by solving complex problems with simple solutions. You are great at organizing and keeping a clear overview of the entire system design. You develop strong people-relationships, you are proactive, like engaging with customers, and enjoy working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrable experience in process/application development.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering.
• Excellent communication skills to lead technical discussions.
• Familiarity with (3D) printing and/or lithography systems.
• Strong curiosity and self-propelling attitude towards technology.
• Persistence in problem-solving and application development.
• Fluent communication in English.
• This role requires willingness to travel and work on-site at client locations for approximately 20–50% of your working time.
• Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage, though not essential
