Role

As PCB Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical equipment and components for Impulse Printing products. In this role you will work closely together with the engineering team to continuously improve the manufacturability and performance of the impulse tool. You will work closely with different competence teams (Software/Firmware/Mechanical).

Responsibilities

• Design schematics and PCB layout for Impulse printhead components in Altium
• Develop, realize and test electronic equipment and components for Impulse printheads
• Review electronic schematics and circuits
• Perform electrical measurements on different sub-components
• Create test setups for experimental research tools
• Support outsourcing of sub-components for impulse printing equipment
• Document your work and design decisions in a structured manner

About you

You are a team player who is result oriented and hands on. You get excited by solving complex problems. You have affinity with electronic circuit design, prototyping and have experience developing electronic systems. You are structured and have a good overview of complex systems and are able to break these down into sub-systems with their corresponding requirements and interfaces. You are proactive and can work independently. You are passionate about technology and are not afraid to build this new Impulse tool with colleagues in a start-up environment.

Qualifications

Core
• Experience with design of electrical schematics and PCB circuit design, in Altium365 both in layout and schematics
• Design Electronics up to quality and compliancy standards
• Experience in independently perform and document PCB electrical and functional tests
• Bsc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering
• Self-propelling, well-organized and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Good communication skills in English, both verbally and written

Assets
• Experience with design for High Power electronics
• Experience with industrial electronics
• Can design and/or read schematics in E-plan
• Experience in outsourcing electronic subsystems
• Experience with programming software Python, Matlab, TwinCat
• Experience with embedded software C/C++
• Proficient in Dutch
